Wort im BildPhotography and literature An international photography competition dealing with the challenge of literature.
We read - we read a lot, and often. - Words, texts, writings. But what about the language of images? - An image can say more than a thousand words. „… literature is one-eyed. The laughing eye is missing“ (Erich Kästner)
This competition is aimed at photographers, and is for works inspired by specific works of literature. The choice of literary form (poetry, prose, drama etc.) is open. Only one entry per person will be accepted. The entry shall not exceed 9 MB.
10 winners will be chosen by the jury Pavel Baňka, Chloé Hipeau-Disko and Eva Asaad. The first 3 winners get cashprizes - 800 Euro for the first prize, 500 Euro for the second prize and 300 Euro for the third prize sponsored by Kelag.
In the anniversary year (10 years of wortimbild) 10 exhibitions will take place during the Days of German Literature (June 22 to June 26, 2022) in 10 places in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee. The launch event with a book presentation/ vernissage will take place on June 15th 2022 at the Robert Musil Institute/ Robert Musil Literature Museum.
The first 3 winners get cash prizes - 800 Euro for the first prize, 500 Euro for the second prize and 300 Euro for the third prize sponsored by Kelag.
