IMACRES Awards is delighted to announce that it has begun accepting submissions for the 2022 edition of the European Photography Competition.

Open to all photographers in Europe, the competition, which allows entries to be submitted either in black and white or in colour, presents the opportunity for participants to showcase their work to an international audience. Split into 4 categories of wildlife, landscape, people, and architecture, the winning entries for each category will be awarded gold, silver and bronze badges in the Gallery of Winners, on Social Media and also featured in the IMACRES Awards Annual book.

The first-place winner of each category will win a cash prize valued at 10% of the total entry fee, and will also earn the right to use the winner badge and certificate for promotional purposes.

Speaking on the vision behind the competition, the organisers of IMACRES Awards say they aim to promote healthy competition amongst European photographers, encouraging them to strive for growth and mastery of their art and also rewarding their efforts and excellence.

To successfully enter photographs for the competition, each submission must be 1200 pixels wide (longest side) and also be in JPEG format (*.jpg or *.jpeg). The maximum file size allowed is 1Mb and the colour formats accepted are sRGB or Adobe98 colour space. To avoid disqualification, participants must make sure to not include watermarks, borders, or signatures. However, there is an exception to this rule for Polaroids and other traditional process photos where borders are inherent parts of the images.

All submissions must be made online via the portal provided on the IMACRES Awards website imacres.com. The submission fee for early bird entries is set at 6 EURO per single entry and has a deadline of March 31, 2022, while the final deadline has been set for the 30th of September 2022 and carries a submission fee of 9 EURO per single entry.
